Course History
Frankie Askew Bell was running this same trail on November 5, 2010, when she was hit by a car at the intersection of South College and Donahue Drive. The accident severely injured Frankie and killed her running mate Dr. Marie Wooten, Auburn University Math and Science Dean. Frankie runs this course with family & friends annually as a victory lap to show the world by the grace of God she is still here. “I just want to encourage everyone to come and support us as we run in remembrance of my friend Marie. I also, just want to encourage anyone out there who has experienced defeat in any part of their life to register, said Frankie.”
